IWISTAO Discrete Components Stereo FM Radio Board Electrical Tuning Decoding LA3401 TDA2030A Amplifier

This is a stereo FM radio finished board with discrete components. You only connect DC12V power adapter and speakers then you can enjoy wonderful FM radio. Or, you may make a wooden casing and DIY it as a vintage radio.

  

The FET is used for high-level discharge, and the triple-coupling is used to increase the AFC automatic frequency tracking circuit, which makes the receiving sensitivity more selective and increases the frequency display. The debugging is more intuitive.

The PCBA adopts double balanced proportional discriminator with excellent sound quality, and also optimizes its layout of the intermediate frequency circuit PCB, improves the stability of the intermediate frequency. And it uses a LA3401 decoding chip as FM stereo decoder, whose resolution is up to 70dB,its noise ratio is up to 95 dB. At the same time, a first-stage FM mixed signal preamplifier is added, which improve the problem that the LA3401 standard circuit cannot be driven in weak signal, so that each radio station can achieve good mediation resolution. After then, the LA3401 has no decoding noise and is comparable to the LA3450 chip.

The power amplifier part use two TDA2030A chips, its output power is larger, sound quality is pure and thick, clean and pure.

This is a PCBA bord, and you should connect a quality power supply as DC12V , don't use a switch power supply that interfere the radio signal receiving , you may use common linear power from power transformer. It is best if you can provide power form battery，please try it if available.

This speaker is a whole aluminum casing, with ultra-thick materials, precision CNC machining, and install a special developed 4-inch full-range speakers, low frequency is better than the same diameter (4 inch) speakers. The use of aluminum alloy cabinet has many advantages, that is, it will not peel off, aging, cracks, etc. unless it falls on the ground, and the life is almost unlimited. And its density is heavier than the wooden speaker, there will be better shock absorption effect and with the internal sound-absorbing cotton, and the low frequency will not diverge.


The speaker uses a 4-inch NdFeB strong magnetic unit. Its low-frequency density is very good, dynamically distinct, the high-frequency extension and air feel are better, and the human voice is sweeter. This uit, first of all, is a magnetic circuit system, tombarthite NdFeB magnetic structure plus a short-circuiting copper sleeve, which solves the thoroughness of medium-high frequency from the starting point. But the selection of cone is more painstaking, cone is mainly composed of bass and medium-high sound. After various screenings, cotton and linen fiber is selected finally. And, the treble must be rigid and soft, then the bamboo plus bark fiber is selected. Through countless trials and adjustments, the effect finally conquered out ears. The final results are that its medium-high frequency density is very good, very thorough, and the background is clean.
